Twenty-one retail and food-and-beverage brands we have advised in London, each with the street. We act only for the occupier, and we never publish a rent, a price or a fee against a client’s name. Where a brand has its own case study, the entry links to it.
Ames Yavuz — Grosvenor Hill, Mayfair
Gallery · Lease acquisition, 2024
A contemporary art gallery taking space on Grosvenor Hill, in the Mayfair gallery quarter that has formed around the auction houses and the Davies Street corridor. Galleries have a property problem of their own: they need volume, light and a certain kind of street presence, and they are frequently judged by landlords against retail covenants they were never designed to match.
Boffi — Sloane Avenue, Chelsea
Italian kitchen and bathroom design · Lease acquisition
Boffi on Sloane Avenue, in the Brompton Cross design district where the furniture and kitchen houses cluster. We have also acted for the brand on Brompton Road. Design showrooms are a distinct requirement: the space is a demonstration of the product rather than a shop, the fit-out is heavy, and the lease terms have to accommodate an installation that cannot be moved cheaply.
Boglioli — New Bond Street
Italian tailoring · Lease acquisition
The Italian tailoring house on New Bond Street.
Brandy Melville — Neal Street, Covent Garden
First UK store · Retail strategy and acquisition
An Italian brand entering the UK for the first time, with no London trading history and no UK covenant, and the address decided before the search began. Already published in full as a case study.
Bread & Truffle — various
Food and beverage · Multi-site
Retail advisory.
Church’s — Regent Street
Prada Group · Rent review, expansion and repositioning
The heritage shoe brand on Regent Street: rent reviews, expansion and strategic repositioning work. Covered within the Prada Group case study.
Dolce & Gabbana Casa — Brompton Road and Thurloe Place
Italian design · Lease acquisition, 2023
The Dolce & Gabbana home and interiors line, on Brompton Road and Thurloe Place in Knightsbridge. A dual-address arrangement of the kind that suits a furniture proposition: a principal frontage on the main road and adjoining space that gives the showroom the depth the product needs.
DSquared2 — New Bond Street
Italian fashion · Lease acquisition, 2022
DSquared2 on New Bond Street. Bond Street is the apex of the London luxury map and it is priced accordingly; the question for a brand at this level is never whether the street works but whether the specific pitch within it does, because the difference between the north and south ends of Bond Street is larger than the difference between some streets.
Empresa — Henrietta Street, Covent Garden
Lease acquisition, 2022
Empresa on Henrietta Street, on the southern side of Covent Garden. Covent Garden is the volume play in the West End — the footfall is enormous and comparatively indiscriminate, which suits a brand that converts browsers and punishes one that needs a considered customer.
Furla — Brompton Road, Knightsbridge
Italian accessories · Surrender, 2025
We acted for Furla on the surrender of its Brompton Road store. Exits are the least discussed part of a retail estate and among the most expensive to get wrong: a surrender negotiated badly can cost more than the remaining years of occupation, and the terms are entirely a function of how well the alternative is understood by both sides.
Geox — Long Acre, Covent Garden
Italian footwear · Lease acquisition, 2022
Geox on Long Acre, the Covent Garden artery that carries the flow between the piazza and Leicester Square. A footwear brand of scale needs frontage and flow rather than destination; Long Acre supplies both.
J&M Davidson — Burlington Arcade, and Great Portland Street
British leather goods · Retail and office acquisition, 2022 and 2024
A unit in Burlington Arcade for the store, and separately office space on Great Portland Street. Acting for a brand on both its shop and its back-of-house is more useful than it sounds: the two decisions are usually made by different people, at different times, against a single budget.
La Maritxu — Kingly Street, Carnaby
Food and beverage · Lease acquisition, 2024
La Maritxu on Kingly Street, within the Carnaby estate. Carnaby is a curated and single-owned environment — the landlord manages the mix deliberately, which means the covenant conversation is as much about what a brand adds to the street as what it pays for the unit.
Mackintosh — Conduit Street, and Great Portland Street
Outerwear · Lease acquisition 2022, renewal 2025, plus offices 2024
The Conduit Street store secured in 2022 and renewed in 2025, with office space taken on Great Portland Street in between. The renewal is the point: the adviser who negotiated the original lease knows which clause is about to matter, and a renewal handled by someone reading the document for the first time is a renewal conducted at a disadvantage.
Miu Miu — New Bond Street and Bruton Street
Prada Group · Acquisition and management, 2025
Quiet advice on the acquisition of the Miu Miu flagship, which Arbitrage manages for the group today. Covered within the Prada Group case study.
Poke House — various
Food and beverage · Multi-site
Retail advisory.
Prada — Old Bond Street
Retail acquisition off-market, 2013 · Rent reviews since
The building next door that was not for sale, secured anyway and assembled into a flagship. Published in full as a case study, with the rent review work that followed covered in the Prada Group case study.
Rubinacci — Mount Street, Mayfair
Neapolitan tailoring · Lease acquisition, 2025
The Neapolitan tailoring house on Mount Street. Mount Street is discretion as positioning: lower footfall than Bond Street by design, a customer who arrives intending to buy, and a tenant mix that a brand joins rather than disrupts. For a Neapolitan house it is the right street in London, and that judgement is the substance of the advice.
Santa Nata — Battersea Power Station and Oxford
Portuguese bakery · Multi-site, 2022 and 2024
A compact bakery format across a station concourse and a city-centre street unit. The kiosk economics are unforgiving and unusually legible: a small footprint, a short product list, guaranteed footfall, and a rent that frequently steps across the term so that the first year describes very little about the deal.
Sermoneta Gloves — Burlington Arcade
Italian gloves · Lease acquisition, 2022
The Roman glove house in Burlington Arcade — a product and a format made for one another. Covered within the Burlington Arcade case study.
Vivienne Westwood — Conduit Street
British fashion · Lease advisory
Vivienne Westwood on Conduit Street, the Mayfair street that runs between Bond Street and Regent Street and prices below both while trading off the traffic of each.
